A fish eating a banana? How can this be?

Fishes live in water, bananas grow on trees. How can this be that a fish eats a banana? It is possible! Have you heard about fish that is called black pacu? It looks similar to a piranha, but it is not a carnivorous fish at all! How the physical appearance can be misleading! Black pacu has a very well developed sense of smell and hear, which both allow him to efficiently search for fruits that are falling into the water. Interestingly, by consuming fruits, black pacu contributes to the spreading of fruit seeds. You can find black pacu in the Amamzon River. Black pacu can reach even 1 m in length.
